Commander 80 is an entry-level 5U (about 82 g) racket in the Apacs Commander range with a near-even balance (290 mm) and a soft, flexible shaft. A handy all-round feel for club doubles.
- Near-even balance keeps the head quick through drives and blocks
- Soft shaft is easy to load, helping clears and lifts for players with a short swing
- Low price for a graphite frame
- Soft shaft can feel vague at high tension and on hard flat exchanges
- Basic finish and fewer shaft/frame technologies than the pro lines
- Specs come from retailer listings, not an independent test
Where to buy
None of the UK shops we check sell it right now, so it may only be available abroad. Researched price: about £46.
