Energy Groove Speed is a mid-range 5U (about 81 g) racket in the Apacs Energy Groove range with a slightly head-heavy balance (295 mm) and a soft, flexible shaft. Gives most of the smash benefit without making fast exchanges a chore.
- Slight head bias adds smash power without a big swing penalty
- Soft shaft is easy to load, helping clears and lifts for players with a short swing
- Soft shaft can feel vague at high tension and on hard flat exchanges
- Mid-range materials give a less refined feel than pro-level frames
- Specs come from retailer listings, not an independent test
Where to buy
