Thunderdome Pro 6.2 is a top-tier 4U (about 84 g) racket in the Apacs Thunderdome range with a balance not published and a stiff-leaning shaft. Check the balance on the shaft before buying, as it is not published.
- Stiffer shaft gives a crisp, direct response on full swings
- Rated to 38 lb string tension, so it takes a tight, crisp stringbed
- Slim 6.2 mm shaft cuts air resistance for faster swings
- Needs good technique to bend the shaft; mistimed shots feel harsh
- Demanding to use well: suits stronger players more than casual ones
- Specs come from retailer listings, not an independent test
Where to buy
None of the UK shops we check sell it right now, so it may only be available abroad. Researched price: about £109.
