A stiff, even-balance 84 g Ashaway aimed at improving and intermediate players who want a steady, direct feel at a mid-range price. The frame is built to take high string tensions, so it rewards players who like a firmer string bed.
- Even balance and 4U weight make it easy to switch between attack and defence
- Frame is built to hold high string tensions, which helps control
- Often sold well below its list price and supplied pre-strung
- Stiff shaft asks for a decent swing speed and is harder work for slower swings
- Retailers disagree on the balance wording and tension range (see notes)
- No independent review or launch year found
